On the 7th of May, 1905, a funicular was launched in the northern part of the Vladimirskaya Gorka park - a rail vehicle with two outboard cars connecting Vladimirskaya Gorka with Podil.
The car of the metropolitan funicular in a few minutes will transport you from Postal Square to St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. This is not surprising, because the length of its route is only 222 meters. Some perceive the funicular as another form of public transport, while others perceive it as a tourist attraction, to which large lines are built on weekends and holidays.
